laura & jeff – september 29, 2012

I was introduced to Laura through Aly with The Vine’s Leaf, an amazing florist and also a close friend of mine. The second I met Laura, I knew this was a wedding I wanted to be a part of. She has such an infectious smile and a way of making you feel like you’ve been friends forever.

The morning of her wedding, I got to spend some time with Laura at the St. Regis where she was getting ready.  I just adored her sweet family and friends and you could tell that they were all so excited to be a part of Laura’s big day! All morning, Laura couldn’t stop texting Jeff and you could see the excitement on her face as she prepared to be Mrs. Goodrich.

They tied the knot at Talega Golf Club, a place I’ve become more than familiar with this past year. Simply put, their ceremony was beautiful (I may have even cried a little…). Jeff and Laura made sure to include their “first child” as part of their ceremony, an adorable bulldog named Barry. He wore a tuxedo and made his entrance in a wagon pulled by one of the ringbearers. I know, right?!

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers and mingled as the sun was setting in the background. I just loved the personal touches Laura added to their wedding. Some of those reception details included picture collages of the two of them over the years and recipe books of their favorite recipes for all the guests to take home and enjoy. Throughout the day, one thing was evident –  there was so much love between these two families.  So much so, that it took almost an hour to get through the toasts because there was so much to say about the two of them!

After dinner, Laura and Jeff danced the night away with their guests. Along with cake, everyone enjoyed a yummy candy buffet with all of Jeff and Laura’s favorite candy. When the night came to an end, all the guests made their way out front to send the couple off with a sparkler exit.

{Jeff & Laura – Thank you so much for allowing me to be a small part of your BIG love story. You two just might be two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Your wedding was beautiful and I truly loved every minute of it. I hope you had an amazing honeymoon and I wish the two of you (and Barry) all the best!}
