dillon & kiersten – june 1, 2013

I first met Dillon about 3 years ago when he started working at the Commercial Real Estate company I work for. Yeah, my other job – kind of like the red-headed stepchild to my wedding business. After meeting Dillon, I knew he and I wouldn’t just be co-workers, we would be friends. He is one of the funniest, craziest, genuine, most kind-hearted people I have ever met. Over the course of the past few years I was eventually introduced to Kiersten – who I loved from the second I met her. Aside from her stunning good looks, she has an absolute heart of gold. I had a feeling Dillon wouldn’t let this one get away. I was thrilled when they got engaged and so honored when they asked me to be a part of planning their big day.

Dillon and Kiersten chose to have their wedding at Dillon’s grandpa’s ranch in Santa Ynez. I had an image in my head every time we talked about it but when I arrived at the site and saw it in person, it totally surpassed my expectations. It was the perfect spot to get married. The ceremony and reception space were scattered perfectly beneath trees and strung lights. Guests tables were lined with beautiful flowers, mason jars and hurricane candles. Kiersten planned everything to perfection and even spent the morning of her wedding filling vases with flowers. She wanted the day to be perfect, and it was.

I’m definitely guilty of getting a little teary eyed every now and then during a wedding ceremony. This one had me full on crying. To see the adoration and pure love these two had for one another was so awesome – a great reminder of why I fall in love with my job over and over again.

After the ceremony, things got a little crazy – good crazy. Dillon and Kiersten’s family and friends came to party and more importantly show them how much the two of them are so, so loved. Guests sipped on signature cocktails, flooded the photobooth and danced the night away. The reception didn’t end until midnight and almost everyone stayed on the dance floor until the last minute.

{Dillon and Kiersten – Your wedding was one for the books…a true testament for how much you love each other and how much you two are loved. I adore you both and thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me witness and be a part of your happily ever after. Congratulations again!}
