libby & chris – may 22, 2010

I first met Libby about 3 months before their wedding when she was referred to me by my brother’s girlfriend Cristina. I fell in love with her and her adorable fiancé at our first meeting. From the start, I could tell that Libby and her mother were both perfectionists and would leave no detail untouched – so obviously we were a perfect match!

 After much planning and anticipation, their wedding day was finally here! The ceremony and reception were held at the Talega Golf Club in San Clemente. This was my first time working at this venue so I was really excited! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Libby and Chris had a bridal party of 23 – and every last one of them came to party – even the flower girl and ring bearer.

Chivari chairs, gold linens, and votive candles filled the reception area.  The flowers were provided by none other than my favorite florist, Aly with The Vines Leaf. She did an incredible job! People were commenting all night about how gorgeous all the flowers were. The music throughout the night was killer! Dean Hall with Ultimate Events definitely knew how to keep the party going. It didn’t hurt that he was such a sweetheart and super easy to work with.  Their photographer, Jen Bierman with Photojenic, was also awesome. She was on time all day and made sure they got as many pictures in as possible! The photos that I have seen so far have been beautiful!

One of my favorite details was the candy buffet. We put a lot of time and thought into it and it turned out absolutely amazing! I just loved all the different jars and containers we used as well as the cute little signs and balloons. The guests ate it up – literally! As soon as we switched the sign from closed to open, the guests flew out of their chairs and ran toward the candy bar. I could barely keep up with refilling the jars! The rest of the night was one big party – in fact, when the reception ended at 10:30, it took 45 minutes for all the guests to clear out because no one wanted to leave!

Congratulations Libby and Chris. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your love story! It was so much fun to watch the two of you celebrate with all your friends and family. You two are perfect for each other. I feel blessed that I can now call you friends and look forward to hanging out with Mr. & Mrs. Lawford in the future!

 {Below is a collage of the photographer’s favorite images. I can’t wait to see the rest of the images that she captured.}
