I always dreamed of having a little girl. A little mini-me that I could play dress-up with, take on fun shopping dates, play tea party with and all that fun girly stuff. Then, just a week shy of Christmas, my sweet baby girl arrived. My little B is such a huge blessing to our family. She is the happiest little girl and so full of personality. She’s sweet, cuddly, a little feisty and at times a little crazy! She definitely keeps us on our toes and we couldn’t imagine our life without her.
When it came to planning her first birthday, I knew I wanted to do something different. Something that you wouldn’t see walking down the aisle at Party City. Although that would have made my life about ten times easier. But hey, that’s what happens when you’re a wedding and event planner. I decided to go with a “Pow Wow” theme. Kind of like an Indian princess party – sorta. I found the cutest invitations on Etsy (my go-to for all things party related) and based the colors off of that – shades of pinks, purple and gold. For a few months leading up to her birthday, I worked on the details of her party. I had so much fun creating all the decor and signage and making this party special for my little girl. I love how everything turned out and although she’s only one, I’m pretty sure my little one enjoyed her first birthday party too. Thanks again to all that came to help us celebrate this big milestone!
