A few weeks ago I had the honor of throwing my beautiful sister-in-law, Cristina, a baby shower. I couldn’t have been more excited about putting together a special party to celebrate the upcoming arrival of her first baby boy. I knew right away I wanted to do a travel theme. My good friend Molly helped throw the shower with me. After a few hours browsing through Pinterest, the two of us came up with some great ideas. My brother and Cristina got married in Florence, Italy (I know right?!?). So we knew we wanted to incorporate that into the shower somehow. I found a cute map of Italy at Paper Source. We combined that with globes, airplanes and tons of cute luggage. Molly and I had so much fun crafting signs, blocks and favors. We also put together a clothesline of some adorable baby boy clothes. At the shower, we served brunch for everyone and had yummy donuts for dessert – a special request from the Mama-to-be! We also had a Mom-osa bar with champagne and fresh fruit juices from the Farmers Market.
It was such a special day showering Cristina and celebrating with all of her friends and family. I can hardly wait to meet my nephew and I know that Cristina is going to be such a wonderful Mama to that sweet little babe.
Here are some highlights from the shower:
