courtney & aaron – april 23, 2011

As he could hear her approaching behind him, tears began to stream down his face. When he turned around, he was speechless. It was such a raw and perfect moment. Aaron & Courtney’s first look was one of the coolest moments I’ve witnessed as a wedding planner.

I first met Courtney and Aaron at a Starbucks back in early 2010. From the moment we met, we felt like friends.  I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much at a first meeting. Courtney and Aaron discussed how they moved here from Florida and didn’t know where to begin with their wedding plans. All they knew is they wanted to get married and they wanted it to happen near the ocean. After much research and a few site walk-throughs, the couple chose Casa Romantica as the place they would tie the knot. I was thrilled!

The day came faster than any of us anticipated…and it was perfect. The weather couldn’t have been any better for a beach wedding. Surrounded by 80 of their closest friends and family, and their pit-bull Rufus, they committed their lives to one another. Throughout the ceremony, Courtney couldn’t contain her excitement to become Mrs. Jennings. She was like a little school girl…and it was adorable!

After they said their “I do’s”, the guests headed to cocktail hour where they sipped on Lover’s Lemonade and Mojitos (two signature drinks hand picked by the bride and groom). Dinner and toasts followed and then guests made their way back inside for dancing. The bridal party was a rowdy bunch – which always makes my job more fun! Most of them traveled from Florida and they definitely came ready to party!  Their reception was such a blast! Aaron and Courtney are so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful family and friends! They ended the night with sliders and fries as well as favors from Sprinkles Cupcakes. As Courtney and Aaron made their grand exit, I was sad to see the night come to an end!

Courtney and Aaron – Your love is infectious…the kind that people admire and hope for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me be a part of your big day. I can honestly say, I will miss our monthly meetings more than you know. Its couples like you who make me fall more in love with what I do. I wish you both tons of love and happiness as husband and wife!
