anne & kenny – july 2, 2011

Anne dramatically descended down the steps to the courtyard, carefully placing one foot in front of the other, as she joined her father and mother to walk down the aisle where Kenny was patiently waiting. Before giving Anne’s hand to Kenny, her father surprised everyone by singing “Butterfly Kisses” to his daughter. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the crowd.

When Anne and I first met back in November to discuss her wedding, she made it very clear to me that she had a huge family and that she was worried that her wedding day would be chaotic. I assured her that even though she had 8 flower girls, 10 sponsors, 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen, and the rest of her extended family, that everything would run smoothly and she had nothing to worry about. Even though this was one of the largest bridal parties I have worked with, I adored each and every one of them. Anne and Kenny’s wedding ceremony was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have witnessed as a wedding coordinator. It was personalized to reflect not only the love the two of them share but the love surrounding them by all their friends and families.

After the ceremony and cocktail hour, guests made their way to the ballroom for the grand entrance of the bridal party – all 40 of them! Anne and Kenny surprised everyone with a choreographed first dance. Those two know how to move! The guests later enjoyed a slide show of Anne and Kenny’s childhood pictures followed by a same-day edit of their wedding ceremony provided by the amazing Loyd Calomay. The rest of the night was filled with dinner and dancing – a lot of dancing. It was so fun to watch Anne and Kenny cut loose and truly enjoy every moment of their special day.

Anne & Kenny – Thank you for trusting me to plan and coordinate your wedding even though we were states apart during the process. I adore the two of you more than you know and feel so blessed to be a part of your love story. Your wedding was absolutely beautiful – one that I will always remember.  I wish you both nothing but happily ever after as husband and wife.

**Side note: Being 9 months pregnant definitely made the day a little more difficult. So I owe a HUGE thank you to my super talented intern Stefanie and my BF Nicole for all their help to make the wedding run so smoothly. You girls rock!!
