kim & joe – august 13, 2011

I carefully picked up the train of her dress and followed closely behind her as she approached the doors of the chuch, arm in arm with her father.  I whispered “Love you Kimmy!” as I dropped her train and watched her walk down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams! I couldn’t believe that the Kim I had known since I was eleven years old was now a bride.

Earlier that morning, I sat at her parent’s house watching her get her hair and make-up done. When she was all made-up, the bridesmaids and I all agreed that she looked absolutely stunning…just like Barbie, but prettier! We tried to hold back tears as she descended down the stairs in her wedding dress. I couldn’t wait to watch her become Mrs. Cavallo! We had been planning this wedding since last August and I was so excited to watch it all come together. The reception was held at Strawberry Farms, a venue that I had never worked at before. It was beautiful! Kim chose purple, white and green as her wedding colors.  An adorable handmade chalkboard frame guided guests to their seating arrangements. Inside the barn, a beautiful chandelier hung over the dance floor. Clusters of mason jars with gorgeous flower arrangements filled the guests’ tables. Everything was stunning!

After dinner, Kim and Joe hit the dance floor and stayed their all night long. It was so fun watching them have the time of their lives with all their friends and family. This group was  a rowdy bunch! Even when the music stopped and the clean-up began, they continued to dance and celebrate – no one wanted the night to end! All in all, the wedding was amazing and so much fun to  be a part of.

To the new Mr. & Mrs. Cavallo – thank you a hundred times over for trusting me to coordinate your big day! I had a blast at your wedding and couldn’t be happier that the two of you found each other. You make a gorgeous couple! Oh, and Kim – I agree with your mother – please make some beautiful babies sooner than later!
