mychela & ross – november 5, 2011

I had been looking forward to this wedding for a long time now. Not only because of all the fun details, but because I adore this couple. Our first meeting wasn’t your typical meeting at the neighborhood Starbucks. I first met Mychela and Ross at another wedding I coordinated back in May of 2010. Mychela was a bridesmaid in that wedding and Ross was her boyfriend at the time. When the wedding was over, I gave them a ride home because their cab never showed up. Needless to say, that was the start to our friendship and what eventually led to them choosing me to coordinate their wedding.

On the morning of their wedding, I stopped at the Fairmont Hotel, where all the girls were getting ready. My jaw must have dropped when I saw Mychela. She looked gorgeous…like she had just stepped out of Vogue magazine.  All the bridesmaids looked beautiful too. I loved their purple heels (so much that I may have to add them to my collection).

The ceremony took place on the lawn of the Pacific Club. It was decorated beautifully with purple and white flowers, tea light candles and a chandelier that hung from the trees above. Over 200 guests looked on as Ross and Mychela said “I do”. After the ceremony, guests made their way inside to the Living Room for cocktail hour. Dinner followed shortly after along with toasts and first dances. I have seen a lot of Mother-Son dances and this one was hands down my favorite. Ross and his mom danced to “Simply the Best” by Tina Turner and it was the cutest thing ever! After the formalities, guests partied the night away on the dance floor. They also enjoyed the lounge where the photo booth was a huge hit. We ran out of scrapbook pages because there were so many pictures!

At the end of the night, I hugged them goodbye and expressed my extreme jealousy that they were off to honeymoon in Bali for 18 days! After all their hard work on the wedding, the relaxing trip was much deserved.

{Mychela & Ross – I have said it before, but I’ll say it again. I adore you both. I am so thankful that I got to be your designated driver – oh, and your wedding coordinator. You are such a beautiful couple, inside and out and I consider myself beyond lucky to have been a part of your wedding day. I hope you two had an amazing time on your honeymoon. I can’t wait to hear all about it. Love you guys!}

Here are some of my favorite images from their wedding…
